Cedar Point

Hello everyone!

If you're looking for a different kind of vacation, maybe closer to home for those (like me) who live in the Midwest, and you're looking for some major thrills, check out Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio.

I made a visit last Thursday to ride their newest roller coaster, Maverick, which just opened this Spring, and I have to say it is a truly great ride! It's not the "highest" or "fastest" like the recent amusement park trends have been, which is just fine with me (I'm not particularly enthralled with heights). If you are looking for tons of rides, Cedar Point is pretty much the ultimate amusement park. They boast the most rides (69) and more famously, the most roller coasters (17) of any other amusement park in the world. Pretty impressive! If you're more than a couple hour drive away, there are many hotels and campgrounds in the area. Information is available on their main web site (again, see my links list).
